Baseball Recap: Cowan Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cowan can now relate to. They fell just short of the Northfield Norsemen by a score of 10-9 on Monday.

Jaydon Auker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Cowan now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Northfield, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-16.

Cowan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northfield, they will challenge Union City on Saturday. The Norsemen's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
