Basketball Recap: St. Joseph Catholic Takes a Loss

St. Joseph Catholic lost against Calvary Baptist back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The St. Joseph Catholic Eagles came up short against the Calvary Baptist Eagles, falling 81-59. St. Joseph Catholic has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tyler Wilson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Calvary Baptist, going 8 for 11 en route to 22 points along with six assists and six steals. Wilson's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cannon Hargrave, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 17 points and four steals.

St. Joseph Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Calvary Baptist, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 20-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph Catholic will take on Houston Adventist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvary Baptist, they will square off against Allen Academy at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th.
