Soccer Recap: North Stokes Takes a Loss

If North Stokes was feeling good fresh off their 4-1 takedown of South Davidson last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings fell just short of the Phoenix Academy Firebirds by a score of 4-3 on Monday. North Stokes were not able to make up for their defeat to Phoenix Academy from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

North Stokes has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10-2 record this season. As for Phoenix Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 4-9-1 record.

Looking ahead, North Stokes will be playing at home against South Stokes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Stokes' defense better be ready for this one: South Stokes have averaged an impressive 2.6 goals per game this season. As for Phoenix Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Bethany Community at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
