Volleyball Recap: College Park's Run of Five Straight Victories Now Over

It was a good run, but College Park unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Northgate Broncos, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Falcons haven't been shut out since back in March.

College Park was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-14, 25-23.

Attila Yeh paced College Park's offense, picking up 12 kills. Yeh got some help from Gabriel Rollins and his 14 assists. Finally, Jonah Lawson kept College Park's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

College Park's loss dropped their record down to 21-6. As for Northgate, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 33-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. College Park will take on rival Acalanes at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Northgate is set to square off against their familiar foe Campolindo at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
