Football Game Recap: Canon-McMillan Comes Up Short

Canon-McMillan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell just short of the South Fayette Lions by a score of 13-10. The Big Macs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Ty Jansma threw for 157 yards and a touchdown. Braelon Wingfield was his top target, picking up 40 receiving yards. On the ground, Evan Morris rushed for 70 yards, and also picked up 39 receiving yards.

Canon-McMillan's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for South Fayette, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Canon-McMillan will take on Armstrong at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Fayette, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Elizabeth Forward at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Fayette is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
