Football Game Preview: West York Area Bulldogs vs. New Oxford Colonials

West York Area is 0-5 against New Oxford since October of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Bulldogs will host the Colonials at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated after seven games, but that won't be the case come Friday.

West York Area will bounce into Friday's contest after beating South Western, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Bulldogs took down the Mustangs 37-23 on Friday. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 30-10 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mustangs cut but never quite recovered from.

West York Area found their leader in sophomore Aidan Wagner, who rushed for 76 yards and a pair of scores. Wagner didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made five total tackles. Jensen Ferber was another key player, having thrown for 253 yards and two touchdowns.

West York Area didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. Brennan Lightner and Julius Fuentes-Bream each grabbed an interception.

Meanwhile, New Oxford never let their opponents score on Friday. They really took it to Kennard-Dale for the full four quarters, racking up a 46-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Colonials, who have now won five games by 22 points or more so far this season.

A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Colonials' Luke Frey, who threw for 243 yards and three TDs on only 15 passes.
