Baseball Game Preview: Oakland Patriots vs. Riverdale Warriors

Oakland hasn't had much luck against Riverdale recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Patriots are taking a road trip to challenge the Warriors at 6:00 p.m.

On Friday, Oakland didn't have quite enough to beat Franklin County and fell 5-4.

Asher Evans and Will Trammell stepped up to the plate in a big way. Evans went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Trammell went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Trammell has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Andrew Carver, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Riverdale entered their tilt with Tullahoma on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They skirted past the Wildcats 9-7.

Oakland's loss dropped their record down to 14-13-1. As for Riverdale, they now have a winning record of 15-14.

Oakland might still be hurting after the 15-2 defeat they got from Riverdale in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
