Basketball Recap: Classen SAS Comes Up Short

If Classen SAS was riding high fresh off their 66-31 takedown of Santa Fe South on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Comets had to suffer through a 69-10 loss at the hands of the Del City Eagles. The Comets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-10.

Calinn Shine was Classen SAS' leading scorer, having posted ten points. Adrianna Cravens held things down on the boards with two rebounds.

Classen SAS' defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Del City, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Classen SAS will head out to square off against Newcastle at 6:00 p.m. on January 13, 2026. As for Del City, after both having extra time off, they and Altus will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
