Volleyball Recap: Nipomo Find Success

Nipomo lost to Santa Ynez back in August of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Titans walked away with a 3-1 win over the Pirates. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Titans.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 22-25, 25-23.

Nipomo found their leader in sophomore Tasi Maumausolo Matagi, who had 23 digs and one assist. Those 23 digs set a new season-high mark for Maumausolo Matagi.

Nipomo's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Santa Ynez, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 16-11.

Coming up, Nipomo will welcome St. Joseph at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Santa Ynez, they will challenge Mission College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
