Softball Recap: Hitchcock Takes a Loss

Hitchcock fell victim to Brazos and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Hitchcock's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Brazos, they pushed their record up to 7-15-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Hitchcock will welcome Van Vleck at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Leopards' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Brazos, they are taking a road trip to square off against Boling at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.73 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
