The Woodlands is new No. 1 team in Southwest region.

The Woodlands (Texas) advanced to the second round of the Class 5A state playoffs, and those two wins helped propel the Highlanders into the No.1 spot in the Southwest region in this week's MaxPreps Regional Baseball Computer Rankings.

All other No. 1 teams remained the same from last week, however 13 teams joined the rankings this week. The highest debuting teams are Columbia (East Greenbush, N.Y.), which entered at No. 3 in the Northeast, and Crestview (Fla.), which entered at No. 3 in the South.

The regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings.
