Basketball Recap: Plainfield Central Comes Up Short

Plainfield Central was the 61-34 winner over Romeoville when they last played one another back in December of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats took a 48-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans on Wednesday.

Romeoville found their leader in freshman Aaliyah Adams, who posted 23 points. That makes it 18 consecutive games in which Adams has scored at least a third of the Spartans' points.

Plainfield Central's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Romeoville, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-22.

Coming up, Plainfield Central will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Plainfield North at 6:30 p.m. As for Romeoville, they will head out on the road to face off against Oswego at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
