Basketball Recap: Syracuse's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

If Syracuse was feeling good fresh off their 61-24 takedown of Louisville last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Syracuse Rockets took a hard 59-45 fall against the Douglas County West Falcon on Thursday. The Rockets lost against the Falcon in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 74-30 score last time.

Nolan Asher was his usual excellent self, putting up 25 points for Douglas County West. With that strong performance, Asher is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Trey Schieber was another key player, posting 12 points.
