Chaparral fell to Salpointe Catholic 46-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Sean Paul Brophy was a bright spot for the Firebirds, as he threw for 237 yards and 1 touchdown in the defeat.

Chaparral led II Section VII in points allowed with 46.

6-foot-1 quarterback Daniel Bridge-Gadd of Paradise Valley is the league leader in passing yards this season with 2,410. He has also thrown 27 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Israel Simpson. The Chaparral star has 79 catches for 1,065 yards.

In 141 carries Max Vankempen has put up 972 yards this year.

So far this year, he has garnered 68 catches for 929 yards.

David Huffine's team also led the league in scoring this week after putting up 20 points.
