Basketball Recap: Spry Community Links Takes a Loss

Spry Community Links was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Legal Prep 57-6. Spry Community Links was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-6.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Legal Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaeterion English, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 steals. With that strong performance, English is now averaging an impressive 3.2 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Demari Jernigan, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 19 points.

Spry Community Links' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Legal Prep, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-3.

Spry Community Links didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-0 loss against Juarez on the 19th. As for Legal Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Chicago Collegiate on the 19th.
