Baseball Recap: Bronson Eagles vs. Riverside Christian Wranglers

Bronson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Riverside Christian Wranglers. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wranglers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

E Holder put in work no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Holder was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.

In other batting news, Tristen ONeal was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Zach McClelland was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Bronson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bronson will square off against Branford at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th. As for Riverside Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ocala Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
