Basketball Recap: South Spencer Finds Home Court Redemption Against Evansville Harrison

There's no place like home for South Spencer, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against the Evansville Harrison Warriors on Thursday as they made off with a 74-54 win. The victory continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won six in a row.

Alexis Harris had a dynamite game, going 9-for-12 from beyond the arc to rack up 43 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in shooting accuracy (82%). Kylea Donoho was another key player, putting up five points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

South Spencer was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. They racked up eight more assists than Evansville Harrison's also-impressive total of 14.

Evansville Harrison lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Reniah Cordray, who posted ten points along with eight boards and three blocks. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Erin Butler, who shot 60% from beyond the arc en route to 20 points.

The win got South Spencer back to even at 1-1. As for Evansville Harrison, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
