Basketball Recap: Clarence Comes Up Short

Clarence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Lancaster Legends, falling 67-23. The Red Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-11.

Madison Francis continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lancaster, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 21 rebounds. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Francis has scored at least a third of Lancaster's points.

Clarence's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Lancaster, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarence will challenge Jamestown at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lancaster, they will take on Frontier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lancaster's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matches.
