The Ontario Warriors will be taking part in a tournament against the Vermilion Sailors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ontario is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Ontario is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Ashland just ended the team's nine-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Arrows by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered since April 12th.

Morgan Pearson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Maddie Mullins, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, Vermilion lost 8-1 to Port Clinton on Monday. The Sailors haven't had much luck with the Redskins recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Vermilion's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Ontario, their loss dropped their record down to 16-7.

Vermilion's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Ontario has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 strikeouts per game.
