Softball Recap: Seffner Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Northside Christian last Friday, Seffner Christian came back down to earth. The Seffner Christian Crusaders fell just short of the Saint Stephen's Episcopal Falcons by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Seffner Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tenley Newman, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. Newman is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Seffner Christian now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Seffner Christian will take on Canterbury at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Saint Stephen's Episcopal, they will challenge St. Petersburg Catholic at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. St. Petersburg Catholic has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 19.25 runs per game on average), something Saint Stephen's Episcopal will no doubt try to take advantage of.
