Volleyball Recap: American Heritage Takes a Loss

American Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

American Heritage took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-16, 25-22.

Amar'e Stoudemire paced American Heritage's offense, picking up five kills. Stoudemire got some help from Sean Kanji and his ten assists. Finally, Stoudemire was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

American Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Archbishop McCarthy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-12.

American Heritage has already played their next matchup (against Chaminade-Madonna), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Archbishop McCarthy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Southwest on the 15th.
