Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask MacArthur). Everything went their way against the Diamond Hill-Jarvis Eagles on Saturday as they made off with an 18-4 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cardinals considering their two-run performance the game before.

Adrian Cruz made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two).

In other batting news, Parker Lindsey was incredible, scoring three runs while going 1-for-2. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ian Martinez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

MacArthur kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.

MacArthur's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Diamond Hill-Jarvis, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-11-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. MacArthur will host Pearce at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Diamond Hill-Jarvis, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Southwest at 7:00 p.m.
