Basketball Recap: Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners vs. Rancho Rams
Southeast Career Tech lost against Rancho back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Southeast Career Tech Roadrunners were beaten by the Rancho Rams 88-36. While losing is never fun, the Roadrunners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Rams are ranked 11th).
Several Roadrunners players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Diego Galarza, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Fletcher Gilbert, who earned eight points.
Jakoi Lide was his usual excellent self, going 16 of 28 en route to 36 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals for Rancho. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Lide has scored at least a third of Rancho's points. Ahmad Koroma was another key player, putting up ten points along with six assists and five steals.
Southeast Career Tech now has a losing record at 11-12. As for Rancho, their win was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-5.
Southeast Career Tech didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-51 loss against Western on the 31st. Rancho has also already played their next matchup (against Palo Verde), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
