Making Waves Academy waltzed into their contest on Thursday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. Everything went their way against the Valley Christian Vikings as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Making Waves Academy took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-11, 25-9.

Making Waves Academy's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. As for Valley Christian, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Making Waves Academy and Valley Christian will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Marlins see the court they'll take on California Crosspoint at 4:30 p.m. on the 16th. As for Valley Christian, their break will end when they face Quarry Lane at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th.
