Jay is 9-1 against Northview since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Royals will take on the Chiefs at 6:00 p.m. Jay will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

On Wednesday, Jay earned a 9-6 victory over South Walton.

Meanwhile, Northview entered their contest against West Florida last Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Chiefs took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Chiefs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Mikayla McAnally spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Northview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Stuckey, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Jay's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Northview, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.

Jay came out on top in a nail-biter against Northview in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 7-6. Do the Royals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chiefs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
