Recap: Mother Seton Setters vs. Dunellen Destroyers

It was a good run, but the Mother Seton Setters unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Wednesday. Their rough 36-10 loss to Dunellen might stick with them for a while. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mother Seton has scored all season.

Dunellen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Fabiana Ames Castillo, who scored nine points along with three steals. Sophie Jimenez was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Mother Seton's defeat was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 6-2. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.7 points per game. As for Dunellen, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Mother Seton will head out on the road to square off against Wardlaw Hartridge at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dunellen, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against East Brunswick Vo-Tech at 5:30 p.m. East Brunswick Vo-Tech comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 13 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
