Volleyball Recap: Fort Zumwalt West Has No Trouble Against Troy-Buchanan

Fort Zumwalt West not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 8th. They put the hurt on the Troy-Buchanan Trojans with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

While Fort Zumwalt West won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 25-19.

Jake Johnson paced Fort Zumwalt West's offense, picking up 11 kills. Johnson got some help from Adam Robben and his 17 assists. Lewis Wedberg controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Fort Zumwalt West's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Troy-Buchanan, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-14.

Looking ahead, Fort Zumwalt West will head out to square off against Howell North at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Troy-Buchanan, they will square off against Timberland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans are facing the T-Wolves at the right time seeing as the T-Wolves are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
