3A Metro - Sound recap November 5, 2013

Ingraham's Emmery Porter rumbled for the longest rushing play in 3A Metro - Sound this season in his game against Foster last week. Porter ran for 80 yards on the play and finished with 146 on the day as his team bested the Bulldogs.

Ingraham and Foster played the closest game in the league this week, with Ingraham eventually emerging with a 22-20 victory. Porter ran for 146 yards and caught 1 pass for 25 yards during the win.

James Flowers provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Franklin fell to Bainbridge.

Montique Jenkins and Flowers gave the Quakers a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Jenkins threw for 70 yards and 1 touchdown, while Flowers ran for 159 yards. Teammate Jenkins added to the ground attack by rushing for 61 yards.

Cleveland's Amont? Phillips and Dale Daniels led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Phillips has thrown for 927 yards this season, while Daniels has 25 catches for 460 yards. Franklin's Flowers leads the league in rushing yards with 1,067.

Jim Wright's team fell to the Spartans 59-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Flowers was a bright spot for the Quakers, as he ran for 159 yards and caught 1 pass for 12 yards in the defeat.
