Soccer Game Preview: Dreher vs. Westside

The Dreher Blue Devils will challenge the Westside Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Dreher is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Richland Northeast on Friday as they made off with an 11-1 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-1.

Dreher's offense was hitting Richland Northeast from everywhere, as ten different players booted in a goal. Harper Ahern led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Westside, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Southside a 9-0 shutout on Monday. The victory continues a trend for Westside in their matchups with Southside: they've now won five in a row.

Westside's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Dreher, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
