Volleyball Recap: O'Bryant Takes a Loss

After flying high against Varsity Opponent last Friday, O'Bryant came back down to earth. The Tigers fell just short of the Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Tigers have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

O'Bryant wouldn't go down easily and took Lincoln-Sudbury into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-15, 25-17, 20-25, 15-10.

Otavio Perks paced O'Bryant's offense, picking up 29 kills. Perks got some help from Max Dong and his 44 assists. Louis Chiu controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

O'Bryant's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lincoln-Sudbury, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, O'Bryant will challenge Revere at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln-Sudbury, they will face off against Greater New Bedford RVT at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
