Volleyball Recap: Rock Port Comes Up Short

Rock Port was the 2-0 winner over Mound City when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Jays took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Tuesday. The Blue Jays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-14, 22-25, 25-16.

Despite the loss, Rock Port saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Raylynn Jenkins had five digs and two aces.

Rock Port's defeat dropped their record down to 18-5-3. As for Mound City, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-6-1.

Rock Port has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Union Star on the 2nd. Mound City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
