Volleyball Recap: Augusta E Triumphs

Augusta E saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cornerstone Prep Academy Cougars. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Augusta E never let Cornerstone Prep Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22.

Caroline Greenway paced Augusta E's offense, picking up seven kills. Greenway got some help from Bailey Sheron and her eight assists. Greenway was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Augusta E's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Cornerstone Prep Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Augusta E didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Lanier Christian Academy on the 9th. As for Cornerstone Prep Academy, they will face off against Hearts Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
