Soccer Game Preview: The Covenant School vs. St. Anne's-Belfield

The Covenant School will head out to face off against the St. Anne's-Belfield Saints at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

The Covenant School is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Trinity Episcopal just ended the team's five-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell 2-0 to the Titans. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but The Covenant School couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for St. Anne's-Belfield's offense. They came up short against Collegiate on Tuesday, falling 5-0. St. Anne's-Belfield haven't had much luck with Collegiate recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

St. Anne's-Belfield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-1. As for The Covenant School, their loss dropped their record down to 13-5.

The Covenant School might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from St. Anne's-Belfield in their previous matchup back in August of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
