Soccer Game Preview: South East vs. Panorama

The South East Jaguars and the Panorama Pythons will round out the year against one another at at 9:10 a.m. on Friday. South East will be strutting in after a win while Panorama will be coming in after a loss.

South East's tournament run continued when they took on Los Angeles on Thursday. South East sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Los Angeles. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Romans are ranked 889th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Nathan Medina and David Velasco scored both of South East's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Meanwhile, Panorama was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Animo Bunche, falling 5-1.

Panorama's loss dropped their record down to 3-7-1. As for South East, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
