Softball Recap: Wahama Falls Short of Pendleton County in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wahama can now relate to. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-0 to the Pendleton County Wildcat, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcat this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 on Wednesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Wahama and nudges their season record down to 28-8. As for Pendleton County, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 30-2.

Coming up, Wahama will face off against Greenbrier West at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. The Cavaliers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the White Falcons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Pendleton County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
