Basketball Game Preview: Annapolis Cougars vs. Crestwood Chargers

Annapolis is 0-10 against Crestwood since February of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Annapolis Cougars will face off against the Crestwood Chargers at 7:00 p.m.

Annapolis is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Thurston and fell 77-26. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 637th, while the Eagles are ranked 116th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crestwood). They breezed by Garden City to the tune of 60-32 on Tuesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Chargers with their most commanding win of the season.

Annapolis' defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Crestwood, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-5.

Annapolis came up short against Crestwood in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 47-42. Can Annapolis avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
