Soccer Game Preview: Alisal vs. Bellarmine College Prep

The Alisal Trojans will head out to square off against the Bellarmine College Prep Bells at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Alisal's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Pajaro Valley. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while the Grizzlies are ranked 578th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bellarmine College Prep's game on Saturday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Marin Academy by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bells.

Gregory Gutierrez and Thomas Dumont scored all three of Bellarmine College Prep's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Alisal's record is now 3-1-1. As for Bellarmine College Prep, their record now sits at 2-0.

Alisal came out on top in a nail-biter against Bellarmine College Prep in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Alisal since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
