Softball Recap: Charlottesville Comes Up Short

Charlottesville lost against Fluvanna County back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Black Knights lost 17-1 to the Flying Flucos. The Black Knights just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Charlottesville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ayden Johnson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. That home run was Johnson's first of the season.

Charlottesville's record is now 1-10. As for Fluvanna County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.

Coming up, Charlottesville will be playing in front of their home fans against Waynesboro at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Black Knights are facing the Little Giants at the right time seeing as the Little Giants are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Fluvanna County, they will venture away from home to challenge Western Albemarle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Flying Flucos' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season.
