Preview: Lake Washington vs. Interlake
Lake Washington will challenge Interlake on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Lake Washington have to be feeling especially confident with the MaxPreps state rankings on their side for this one.
Lake Washington took an ego-bruising loss against Liberty two weeks ago, but they kept their chin up and bounced back last Friday. Lake Washington had enough points to win and then some against Mercer Island last Friday, taking their match 21-2. No one put up better numbers for Lake Washington than senior Hudson Jones, who brought his A game into the match. He snatched 2 receiving TDs.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Interlake, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to five. They have to be aching after a bruising 12-41 defeat to Juanita.
Lake Washington's victory lifted them to 1-7 while Interlake's loss dropped them down to 1-6. The Lake Washington defense got after the quarterback against Mercer Island to the tune of six sacks, so Interlake's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the matchup.
