Preview: Cobden Appleknockers vs. Galatia/Thompsonville Bearcats
After three games on the road, Cobden is heading back home. They will take on the Galatia/Thompsonville Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Monday, things could have been worse for Cobden, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 54-40 loss to Elverado/Zeigler-Royalton.
Meanwhile, Galatia/Thompsonville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Friday as they fell 40-34 to Cobden. Galatia/Thompsonville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cobden has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Galatia/Thompsonville, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
Cobden didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Galatia/Thompsonville in their previous meeting last Friday, but they still walked away with a 40-34 win.
