Football Game Preview: Mifflinburg Wildcats vs. Scranton Prep Cavaliers

Mifflinburg has won four straight games at home, while Scranton Prep has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Wildcats will face off against the Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Mifflinburg is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Montoursville as they made off with a 35-12 win.

Chad Martin produced another solid effort rushing for 66 yards and three TDs, while also throwing for 153 yards and one touchdown on only 14 passes. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Jackson Marr made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Mifflinburg didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jackson Griffith and Marr. Marr got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Scranton Prep won against Wyoming Area two weeks ago with 42 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Cavaliers breezed past Berwick to the tune of 42-7. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Cavaliers just coasted through the last quarter.

Mifflinburg's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Scranton Prep, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
