Preview: Austin Panthers vs. Cowanesque Valley Indians
Austin is 0-4 against Cowanesque Valley since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Austin Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Cowanesque Valley Indians at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Wednesday, Austin was beaten by Cameron County 62-21. While losing is never fun, Austin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 476th, while Cameron County is ranked 29th).
Meanwhile, Cowanesque Valley had to suffer through a rough 65-32 loss at the hands of Athens.
Austin's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-4. As for Cowanesque Valley, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Austin lost to Cowanesque Valley on the road by a decisive 54-36 margin in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can Austin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
