Volleyball Game Preview: Palm Desert Aztecs vs. Xavier Prep Saints + Official Tickets

Palm Desert hasn't had much luck against Xavier Prep recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Aztecs will head out on the road to face off against the Saints at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Palm Desert comes in on three and Xavier Prep on 13.

On Monday, Palm Desert was able to grind out a solid victory over Palm Springs, taking the game 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 17-25, 25-15, 25-21.

Xavier Prep won the last time they faced La Quinta and Arianna Padilla did her part to make sure it happened again. The Saints were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Blackhawks on Monday for which the team can thank Padilla, who had 11 digs and two assists. She has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 12 times she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Xavier Prep took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-15, 25-10.

Palm Desert's record is now 22-7. As for Xavier Prep, their record now sits at 29-5.

Palm Desert suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Xavier Prep in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Aztecs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
