North Baltimore dropped their record down to 13-9 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Fort Jennings Musketeers by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 18-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

As for Fort Jennings, they moved to 13-8 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since April 9th.

For Fort Jennings' part, Jarron Swick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. Swick has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Owen Calvelage, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Fort Jennings: the team is 8-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-7 otherwise.
