Softball Recap: Rosemont Comes Up Short

Rosemont lost against Del Campo back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Wolverines came up short against the Cougars, falling 17-6. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jalaya Cozart made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances. Gabriyanna Vegafria was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Rosemont's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Del Campo, with the win, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-11.

Looking ahead, Rosemont is taking a road trip to face off against El Dorado at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. Del Campo has already played their next contest (against Tournament Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
