Volleyball Game Preview: Ragland Purple Devils vs. Jacksonville Christian Academy Thunder

The Ragland Purple Devils will face off against the Jacksonville Christian Academy Thunder at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ragland will be strutting in after a win while Jacksonville Christian Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Ragland turned things around against Jefferson Christian Academy on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory. The game was the first time the Purple Devils have beaten the Eagles on their court since September 13, 2022.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville Christian Academy suffered their biggest defeat since September 16, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against Faith Christian, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Thunder in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost seven in a row.

Ragland now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Everything went Ragland's way against Jacksonville Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2021, as Ragland made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Purple Devils repeat their success, or do the Thunder have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
