Volleyball Game Preview: California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs vs. Hamilton Bobcats

The California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs will square off against the Hamilton Bobcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. California School for the Deaf-Riverside will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, California School for the Deaf-Riverside got the win against Sherman Indian by a conclusive 3-0.

California School for the Deaf-Riverside not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Sherman Indian between 16 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Hamilton hadn't done well against La Sierra Academy recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 3-0 win.

Hamilton not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept La Sierra Academy between 15 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-17, 25-15.

California School for the Deaf-Riverside better keep an eye on Jaden Vargas. She was instrumental in Hamilton's win, getting five digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Vargas a new career-high.

Hamilton was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in four consecutive contests.

California School for the Deaf-Riverside's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Hamilton, their win bumped their record up to 16-5.
