Baseball Recap: Lakeview Takes a Loss

After flying high against White Cloud on Wednesday, Lakeview came back down to earth. The Wildcats lost 11-4 to the Indians on Wednesday. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 13-3.

Lakeview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Boston Syrjala, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That run marked the first that Syrjala scored this season.

Lakeview's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for White Cloud, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lakeview is set to face off against their familiar foe Central Montcalm at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, White Cloud will challenge rival Chippewa Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
