Recap: Clyde Bulldogs vs. Shallowater Mustangs
The Clyde Bulldogs extended their postseason success on Saturday against the Shallowater Mustangs. They snuck past the Mustangs with a 26-21 win. Winning may never get old, but Clyde sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Blake Carr was his usual excellent self, rushing for 212 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and also throwing for 208 yards and two touchdowns. Carr really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run. Fabian Gomez also helped out with an impressive 99 receiving yards.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Clayton Vincent, who rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown.
Clyde's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Shallowater, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
Clyde will take on Brock at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Brock will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. Shallowater does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
