Basketball Game Preview: East Grand Vikings vs. Wisdom Pioneers

East Grand is 1-9 against Wisdom since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The East Grand Vikings will head out to take on the Wisdom Pioneers at 2:00 p.m.

East Grand is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Monday. They were outmatched by Madawaska and fell 91-22. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Owls are ranked 13th).

Meanwhile, Wisdom didn't have too much trouble with Ashland on Tuesday as they won 52-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pioneers.

Wisdom has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for East Grand, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

East Grand was dealt a bruising 77-29 loss at the hands of Wisdom when the teams last played on Friday. Can East Grand avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
